Forest Hills Central hosted the OK Black Pre-Conference Tournament at Eastbrook Lanes.  The tournament counts for 25 percent towards the conference championship.

The boys team was anchored by Senior Marcus Gignac who won top honors, over the entire field, by rolling a 686 series.  He rolled games of 214, 227 and 245.  Senior Brendon Reynolds placed 5th with a 577 series and games of 193, 195 & 189.  Senior Marty Dekker took 6th with a 573 series and games of 212, 189 & 172.  The boys team placed 2nd behind MonaShores by less than 100 pins (3631-3539).

The girls team was anchored by Senior Kristy Swanson who took 2nd place honors, over the entire field, by rolling a 569 series.  She rolled games of 180, 208 and 181 and was only 9 pins shy of 1st place.  Sophomore Jessica Rowland placed 6th with a 427 series and a high game of 173.  Senior Megan Joseph placed 9th with a 414 series.  The Lady Rangers placed 3rd in the tournament, missing out on 2nd place by a single pin (2692-2691).  Considering each team rolled a total of 170 frames, a single pin differential gives Coaches Rick Dykema and Larry Chilton license to remind their team of the old, but true, adage that “Every Single Pin Counts”.  Mona Shores placed first while Kenowa Hills took 2nd by that lone pin.

The boys and girls bowling team next match is Monday, January 9 @ Eastbrook Lanes.
