Game Recap

Sophomore Emma Dodson and junior Kirsten Fentzke proved to be a deadly combination as Forest Hills Field Hockey defeated East Grand Rapids 5-2 Tuesday night.

Dodson scored six minutes into the game on an assist from Fentzke, and this was the only scoring in the first half. The two then paired up for another two goals early in the second half to put the visitors up 3-0.

The Pioneers responded to make it 3-1, but Fentzke then found the net herself, and after one more quick EGR goal, Mallory Jacobs scored on a penalty corner to seal the final score. Madisyn Bunke assisted on each of the last two Forest Hills goals.

Forest Hills moves to 10-2-1 for the season, with two regular-season games remaining at home Saturday (10am vs. Grosse Pointe North, 1pm vs. West Bloomfield). The team will celebrate senior day between games.

The Forest Hills JV team also remained undefeated on the season by beating East Grand Rapids earlier in the afternoon, 2-0. Hannah Ellis and Ellie Korest scored the goals for the visitors.
