Game Recap

A matchup of the 2nd- and 3rd-ranked teams in Division II lived up to expectations as Hartland defeated Forest Hills 2-1 Friday night to remain undefeated in the division.

The Eagles got on the board first when Erika Beauchamp tipped in a drive on a penalty corner play, and the score remained 1-0 into halftime.

Forest Hills controlled play more in the second half, finally breaking through with a Madison Bruno goal on a penalty corner.

However, a final push by Hartland with two minutes left resulted in another corner. An Eagle player swept the ball into the goal, but it was disallowed as the whistle had blown to retake the corner. After a scramble in the circle on the second corner, Beauchamp again connected from the stroke mark and sealed the game.

The junior varsity game was a different story, as Rain Tarango scored a hat trick to give Forest Hills a 4-0 win in a matchup of undefeated JV teams.
