Forest Hills boys swimming and diving team defeated East Grand Rapids with a 103-83 victory to finish the season 10-0 overall and 6-0 conference record. “Tonight was a special night,” said head coach Dennis Neat. “First it was our senior night and second this was our biggest meet of the year, one that we circled on the calendar at the beginning of the year.” “We’ve been working all year and tonight that hard work paid off.”

The “Hills” started off with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Seth Fagen, Dakota Weinman, Jonathan Bloedow and Charlie Krug clocked in at 1:40.63 for the victory.

Forest Hills went 1-2-4 in the 100-yard butterfly. Jonathan Bloedow won the event (53.96) with Seth Fagen (56.22) and Adam Sands (57.73) behind him. Dakota Weinman won the 100-yard backstroke (55.22) and Bloedow finished in second (56.00).

Henry Schutte placed first in the 50-yard freestyle, clocking in at 22.17 seconds. Charlie Krug took second place with a time of 22.79. Matt Wilson was victorious in the 500-yard freestyle (5:01.33) with Zach Stevenson finishing in third place (5:15.65). Weinman earned second-place finish in the 200-yard Individual Medley (2:03.37) while CJ Heir took fourth (2:10.16).

The trio of Ryan Talbot, Joe Miss and Chance Spencer were successful for the “Hills,” going 3-4-5 in the 1-meter diving event.

Forest Hills ended the meet with Matt Wilson, Jonathan Bloedow, Dakota Weinman and Charlie Krug emerging victorious by out touching EGR in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:24.76.

Up next for Forest Hills is the Conference Championships being held at Jenison High School next Friday (February 24th) and Saturday (February 25th).
