The Boys swimming and diving team defeated East Kentwood behind top performers Charlie Krug, Seth Fagen, Jonathan Bloedow as they lead Forest Hills to a 177-138 victory. Forest Hills won 6 of the 12 events but relied on team depth to help pull away.
Forest Hills jumped out in front and never looked back by winning the 200 yd. Medley Relay when Jonathan Bloedow (26.76), Kaz Iwatsu (30.11), Seth Fagen (25.09), Charlie Krug (21.99) turned in a solid 1:43.95 for the win. Forest Hills “B” team touched 3rd when Andrew Zhang (28.59), Paul Jeong (32.14), Adam Sands (25.79), CJ Hier (23.41) placed third (1:49.93).
In the 200 yd. Freestyle, Forest Hills used it’s depth to place 2-3-4-6 as Daniel Bloedow (1:55.76), Zach Stevenson (1:58.86), Luke Asselin (1:59.02) and Josh Stevenson (2:04.35) led the charge.
CJ Hier won the 200 yd. Individual Medley (2:06.72) with Adam Sands touching 3rd (2:13.49) and Andrew Zhang came in 5th (2:17.65).
Forest Hills continued to notch up points as Charlie Krug (22.79) and Kaz Iwatsu (23.49) finished 1-2 in the 50 yd. Freestyle and Max VanDoorne (24.95) was 5th.
Ryan Talbot placed 2nd on the diving boards finishing ith 181. 70 points followed by teammates Joe Mish (162.05), Sam Musgraves (157.00) and Chance Spencer (151.70) finishing 4th, 5th, 6th.
Forest Hills showed it’s strength and depth as they place 1-2-3-4 in the 100 yd. Butterfly lead by Jonathan Bloedow (55.50), Seth Fagen (55.96), CJ Hier (56.01), and Adam Sands (58.52).
Charlie Krug capped of the sprint double by capturing the 100 yd. Freestyle as well when he touched the wall in 49.95 and followed by freshman teammate Avery Letourneau placing 3rd (52.29). Max VanDoorne was 6th to round out the scoring.
Forest Hills once again displayed team depth in the 500 yd Freestyle place 2-3-4-5 as Daniel Bloedow once again led the distance group in a time of (5:20.88), Luke Asselin (5:21.79), Zach Stevenson (5:26.09) and Paul Jeong (5:34.21).
Seth Fagen led the Hills to a 1-2-4 finish in the 100 yd Backstroke when he clocked (56.34) to Jonathan Bloedow (59.78) and Andre Zhang (1:01.64) followed by Will Clancy (1:09.84).
Junior Kaz Iwatsu placed 2nd in the 100 yd. Breaststroke (1:07.99) and Avery Letourneau 4th place (1:13.28) and Paul Jeong 5th place (1:16.28) and Patrick Lintner 6th place (1:17.29).
